Hey fellow PNW'ers, I'm Paul P (requested to join the FB page) and I recently got my 17 Tacoma DCLB. Looking to meet fellow enthusiasts and could use some advice and recommendations for some mods, with the first being a small lift/tires. Hope to see you around soon. Thank you in advance.

For the record, yes, it's quite active! People tend to get accepted in waves, so you should get a response soon (hopefully )

Dang. I had to look up where Carnation was.
You're from outta town... the Bay area? Hit up the Browns Camp area (trail pass required) or the Tillamook Forest roads (no pass required). You'll find some decent trails and views out there.

Hey Guys, been waiting to get access to the FB group to ask their but since Im still waiting, figured I would ask here.

Just got a new 17 OR, I plan to do some light off-roading, maybe some trails at Browns camp or out towards hood and wondering if I can get by with these mods.

Considering just a leveling suspension kit to bring the front up–something like bilstein 5100s and upgrading tires to 17" 265 BFG KO2s. I do a fair amount of driving and road trips so not wanting to go with gnarly tires or 33's with a 3" lift.

Open to hear your thoughts. Thanks

You'll be fine for 95% of anything you come across. Browns Camp has trails that you can do stock and some that you need a rock crawler for. Get some good AT tires and you should be fine. If you stick to tires similar to what came on the truck you're going to be limited.

I didn't see that name. Try again and I'll approve it. I recommend sliders if you go to Brown's Camp. Saved me a few times with them.

I'd suggest OME 886 coils with OME 90000 shocks up front. Fairly cheap but performs awesome. Call Marie at @HeadStrong Off-Road for awesome price or help.

Just keep throwin' money at it.
Just installed this exact lift last weekend. I'm happy with the ride and the results. I was running 2016 TRD coils on the front before for 1-1.5" lift.

    After OME Lift:
    • DS Rear - 36.75 to 39.75
    • DS Front - 35.5 to 37.75
    • PS Rear - 36.75 to 39.5
    • PS Front - 35.5 to 38
