Glad to see Washington simplified things with an "all in" package. Looks like spring bear and turkey coming up quick. Woohoo. Anybody know where to find some turkeys that isn't the far northeast? Never been turkey hunting before, but I figure it's a good way to get outside

Super glad I just dropped $350 on my tags this year. They came just in time... Need to find some private land for turkey

Cool chest rig, but at that point, why not just buy a plate carrier then you have infinite flexibility to add admin pouches, holsters, etc?

I have both PC's and chest rigs. But for hunting I'd rather have something lighter than even a PC with no plates(never actually seen anyone hunt in a PC). I don't need to carry a ton of stuff hunting. I usually have a bottle of water in one tall pouch, then my InReach, bino's, a couple energy bars, etc.

makes sense. for a more minimal approach, why not just get a Kenai chest holster and add a radio pouch.

That crossed my mind when the question was first asked. I carry my revolver on a belt holster and like bino's on my chest. I had already received this chest rig in an Apocabox subscription and found I liked it.

so I got selected in the Multi-Season Deer Hunt in Washington. Anyone apply for any special hunts this year?

    I don't have a bow or muzzleloader though. I guess I'm getting a muzzleloader. I haven't shot a bow since I was a kid.
If I understand it right I can hunt all deer seasons but can still just harvest one deer.

I drew that last year and got it this year as well. I recommend all my buddies to put in for it and if not, there's always spares to buy, but after the special draws are finished. You can hunt up a weapon (example, I'm only a bow hunter but hunt in all three seasons with my bow) but you can't hunt down (no rifle or muzzleloader in archery season). If you want to pick up archery, do it now, it's not as simple as just pointing an arrow and shooting an animal, takes a lot of practice

I always buy it and hunt days I have off. It’s pretty easy to get a doe in the late season with archery if you don’t get a buck. If your a meat hunter opening day of archer muley doe is almost guaranteed .

Ah I didn't know you could buy them too. I thought I was a lucky duck!

If I decide to do bow I'll pick one up right away. I can practice in my back yard. Otherwise I'll do muzzle and rifle for sure. Will start researching bows tonight.

If you put in you can buy it if you don’t draw anyways. They sell more than people put in for.

Same as Elk, left over multi season elk go up for grabs too if they don’t all sell. It’s usually a 30 second sell out

Well it is still lucky because you can apply for the draw tags without having to pay attention to weapon choice (for me that's great because most deer unit draws are for modern). Last year they ended up with about 130 unsold multi season deer left. If you need help with any archery questions let me know, I have 80 yards to shoot in my yard and a bow press and every tool you could need

I’ve never put in for the multi season tags. Does your original tag purchase go toward the multi season tag price if you get drawn?
