After 7/31 they do a tally make an announcement on what’s left and post the time and date when to buy them. FYI Elk sell out in seconds.

No it's still grayed out saying I have to go to a local dealer to cancel/surrender my regular tag in person before I can buy a multi season.

The only plus side to getting the draw multi season, and getting it early, you can put in for the raffle draws in different seasons too. AFAIK when the "regular" multi go on sale, they never sell them all.

 

I only saw tracks and poop, but a lot of it. My buddy saw a doe and a buck in Trillium, he shot the sling mount of his shotgun off trying to shoot the doe. He hit it, the mount that is, shot it clean off his gun. The deer, well that got away clean and unscathed

 

I live in Washington but usually hunt in Montana. I only hunt elk, and there’s some great elk hunting in Washington but it seems hard to draw tags. i like guns, dislike spike tags, don’t care for years and years of point
accumulation to get a cow tag, don’t like crowded hunting and don’t like wet side elk hunting. Too picky maybe. But we drew our general NR elk tags in Montana and will head off to a place where spikes are the only thing you CAN’T shoot.

 

I've seen a couple big bucks running around, but never anywhere even remotely legal. I still take my bow out for walks in trillium though, I've heard enough stories to give it a try.

 

Same here. It's a challenge now. I've found some spots in Trillium that "should" be a deer goldmine, but I haven't seen one in there. We left the horse park after eating lunch, and about 15 minutes later heard a shot from there. Seems to be about how it goes up there. I've typically only heard one maaaaybe 2 shots per day

 

who is up for a multi-day (even just 2 days) elk hunt during modern firearm season this fall? I need to put my time off in at work soon and want to get it planned. would entail offroading/ but probably mostly just FS roads and camping. If you want to call it "overlanding," I'm mostly ok with that.

I decided on an east side tag this year. less people, more land, etc.

 

Planning on going small game, Duck and pheasant hunting this season. I'm new to hunting, but hopefully next year I will be deer hunting.

 

I bought some land on the little Klickitat River about 7 miles above Goldendale. I live in Oregon and can’t seem to figure out the area in the regs. Is this area a three point or better and only a draw hunt that takes about 11 years even for a resident.

 

Looks like both 388 and 382 have heavy restrictions, 3pt minimum unless archery mule in 388.

 

The iHunter app is great. Worth the couple bucks a year. Shows the breakdown of all seasons by unit and a bunch of other features. I highly recommend it

 

What are the restrictions on cougar? These need to go! Can’t seem to get the video to load?

 

Sep 1- Dec 31, and Jan 1- April 30, or closed early if numbers are met. Must have tag. Any weapon
