you can use dogs to hunt them in WA. you better have some bad ass dogs though or a VERY well trained one that will stop dead in a point and wait for you.

I don't believe that is correct. State certified problem removal experts can use dogs, but I don't believe you can actually use them as a regular hunter here. I could be wrong, but legislation was pending pre-covid

well at the last minute I picked muzzleloader east side elk. I might be down to just tag along since you might need some extra hands if you get one. I hunt alone 90% of the time and looking for anyone that would hunt or tag along with me lol

I only tried rifle elk for one weekend a few years ago. Way to crowded where I was at.

The new bill will be pursuit only. A few years back they had a public safety cougar permit that you could put in for for a kill permit. I drew one the last year they had the program and was successful. Guess I have some pretty bad ass dogs.

Hey all....I am new to hunting in the PNW, though I've been hunting in Ontario for some time. Question for you all, what rain gear are you running? I am going out for blacktails here and they love the rain based on all the reading I've done. Been looking at the Sitka stuff but boy is it spendy...

I've ran all the sitka stuff, it's ok but it all has leaked sooner than later. But I've had really good luck with kuiu. I have the Yukon set and a lite weight packable set that I don't remember what model it is.

Congratulations! I like those tight forks on the front. Nice job! We have some nice ones on our property on the little Klickitat but I live in Oregon and it would cost a lot for an out of state tag. Then I think my area is a draw that takes 11 years.

been practicing with a new T/C muzzleloader. Shooting Hornady SST 45 cal sabot's. The iron sights from factory are on. Hits a little low at 50 yards and I'll confirm this week that they are on at 100. Heading out next weekend and took the whole week off of work.
