Yes. For archery or long range shooting in this part of the country it’s a must.

I picked up a Nikon Monarch 2000 this summer and for the $220 sale price you can’t touch the features. 1 mile range, angle compensation, red auto dimming illuminated display and scan. They are definitely worth a look if you want to save a few bucks.

Dropped the cape/head off at the taxidermist last week for a shoulder mount. He’s going to beetle the skull for me. I would have loved to do a rug but my wife said it’s not going up in the house and my cabin is too small.

@wilcam47 do you bear hunt? I’m thinking about jumping the border for a N. Idaho spring bear hunt with a friend over there next year. I’ve heard it can be pretty brutal terrain.

Do you work out of one of the local shops or just do your own thing? If I remember I’ll get you a picture when I get it back. I’ve had a couple family members have bears done by this guy and the skulls turn out really nice. And he does the euro for half price of he’s doing a mount for you at the same time. Biggest problem is 18 month turnaround on mounts/rugs right now.

It was at Cabelas. Saw it again for similar price not to long ago again so I’m sure it’ll happen again.

    Nice job on the skull!

Was supposed to go out elk hunting this week with friends. Family drama (not regarding hunting...) has thoroughly and completely fucked those plans.
    :(
Good thing I hadn’t bought the tag yet....
