    Hello great fellow Taco owners!
I have a 2010 4x4 offroad 4.0 liter, 140,000 miles that literally just had the Frame replaced last week! And just 250 miles later I am getting the dreaded P0332 code. As part of the replacement, the local dealer did a lot extra including new rack and hoses, lower control arms, gas tank straps etc. They did call me to advise the accessory pulleys were cracked and I paid $1600 to have them replaced among a couple other things I had done while the motor was out. Only after I got the invoice I saw they also replaced that plenum coolant pipe and intake gaskets but didn't ask if I wanted the knock sensors / harness replaced while it was all apart.

I'm hoping the group here can answer the following: When you got those codes was it the wiring or the sensor themselves that failed? Do these KS sensors regularly fail? I put a scope in the front of the motor and can barely see one of the pesky KS and the wires seem to be intact. Would that harness get easily damaged when replacing that coolant pipe? Where I can only see a small piece of the wiring could it be broke somewhere else?

I have the truck going back to them next week where they are going to inspect with their scope for free and advise. I'm assuming they wont be able to see all the harness completely and I could easily foot a big bill unless they prove the sensor is really dead on a meter.

By the sounds of my thread, you probably think I have a little mistrust in them and unfortunately I do. Reason - when I got the truck back my gas tank protector was missing. I called them up and they said the new straps they put on don't accept the cover anymore and new trucks don't have the cover due to dirt and moisture rotting them out. I took that as truth until I jumped on Tacoma World a couple days after and by chance saw a few ppl complaining about their tanks being punctured on non off-road models and modding them to put the protector on. I called the dealer back and they said "OOPs, we put the wrong straps on and ordered the right ones. So yeah a little bit leery of them now!

    Thanks in advance for helping!
