Hey im new here, joined looking for some help. Iv been getting this po402 excessive egr flow. Been reading up and they say can be clogged egr, vsv, vaccum modulator or temp sensor. Iv literally changed them all first with vsv then modulator cleaned egr got new temp sensor and then finally got a another egr valve it self. Im still getting the code. Any suggestion?

Always do the simple things first .

Remember it is anything in that complete circuit .

Vacuum hoses Chewed wires or rubbed wires.

Now you have entered even more things into the equation even new out of the box parts can not work all to often these days

Doesn't the P0402 code mean the catalytic converter is not functioning to emission standards?

I had the code on my 2003 Corolla, and I replaced the Toyota catalytic converter with a generic one, and the code was gone.

    Good Luck,
    Paul
