    2009 Tacoma 4WD V6 double cab

Just had my engine light and traction light come on the other day.

had local parts store pull the codes :

PO441 EVAP emission control system incorrect purge flow
PO445 EVAP purge control valve circuit shorted
PO446 EVAP vent control circuit malfunction

sounds like the purge valve is the best place to start.

just wondering if anyone else had this issue and any advice.

    thanks.

Codes point towards the valve and it's pretty easy to test. Take it off the truck (elec connector, two hoses and a bolt I think). With no power it should be closed and not flow air from one port to the other. Apply 12v and it should go open and allow air to pass. If that works fine, then you probably need to get into checking the wiring circuits from the ECM which is more difficult without knowing if the valve is being commanded open or closed.
