I installed two Nilight 2x3 18W spot pods this morning. I ended up having to take the front bumper and the crash bar off to drill the holes for the brackets.

Awesome setup! Thinking about doing this to my 07 Tacoma. Are the nuts on the bolts for the crash bar, tap welded on or just very tight to the frame?

I used a 3/8" bit to drill holes and drilled in a 1/2" self tapping screw to hold the brackets down. I'll tell ya too, that thing is never coming off. If you want, I'll grab some pictures tomorrow.

Looks like it's a bit easier for you 2nd gen guys. I had no choice but to take the front off to do it. That's a good setup though. If just do that.
