Looks like a Kawasaki Brute Force 300 is about as big as you can go without adding anything.

    Dimensions are:
    Kawa BF300: 75.4 x 42.5
    Polaris S570: 83.0 x 48.0

The space between the wheel wells is 42.0, but it tapers out to 45.5 towards the top. They might have just put bricks under the front wheels to elevate it enough to fit. As for the Sportsman 570... 48 inches wide would fit over the wheel wells (52 max), but the length could be an issue. I believe the Taco bed is 80" with the tailgate down, and technically you only need the middle of the rear wheels to be on the tailgate, with the rest 'hanging' off. It could work, but i'd be worried about having that much weight on the tailgate, while going over bumps.

If you were to put a plywood sheet to even out the weight, and park it over the wheel wells (with supports of course), I think it would actually fit.

The reality is that it’s barely doable and prone to error. Unless you can’t take a trailer to the destination, or you are pulling a boat or camper, use an ATV trailer. It’s much easier and safer.

I just picked one up in Winchester Tennessee and drove to birmingham, about 2 and a half hours. It did perfect. Tires snug against fender wells but it’s fine.
