Alright so lake Mary PD already has sidexsides, 2 lifted f250s and now they have a ford raptor. Just saw him pull someone over on lake Mary blvd. How does a police department in a city like this justify that purchase?

i think thats a smart move from a police standpoint with the Raptors horsepower and off-road capabilities. now they can chase down anything and anywhere, including the woods maybe

There's really no woods in this town. It's a rich suburban area. Dwight Howard lives about 1/2 mile from me

also being near an affluent community there is a possibility it might have been donated. I grew up in a small community were the wealthy families were always buying things for the PD. It was to get preferential treatment from the city, and it worked. The PD was not going to embarrass the family that just bought them all new body armor or the chief a new "patrol car."
