Thanks for the advice. My testing is tomorrow morning 8 am. I went and bought some nice shoes, pants, black socks. I have a nice shirt that i will wear with a tie.

First is the written test, then the physical agility. If i pass those then i move on to the oral board. Im already nervous about that and i haven't even made it yet!!!

I will probably take a partial from work tonight and get off early so i am well rested tomorrow.

    Wish me luck!!!

Good luck man be honest with everything n don't answer the officer asking u questions by sir or yes officer "Jones" remember their rank call em by LT or Sgt if so be n wear a suit n tie to your oral boards stay calm relaxed answer confidentially not cocky feet flat on the floor at all times no twidling your thumbs or messing w your hands and as said before shake all their hands stick with your answers they r gonna try to manipulate em and catch u off guard second guessing yourself

Good luck hope all goes well

    Haha thanks.

There were about 40 applicants. It is now down to about 12 after people failed the written/physical.

There are only 3 or 4 spots open so hopefully im one of them!!

Great job on the written and physical tests!

I made some of my own mistakes during an oral board interview, for which I have now crafted some handy tips:

Greeting - Advice: Greet the interviewers and introduce yourself professionally; "I am ..."
Professionalism - Advice: Be cordial, respectful and appropriate in your responses.
Appearance - Advice: Dress in business professional preferably (shirt, ties, slacks, dress shoes, suit jacket optional), and be clean-shaven and in good health.
Presentation - Advice: Present your thoughts in a coherent manner, avoiding objectionable references, words and actions to describe your thoughts.
Confidence - Advice: Be confident in your answers regardless of how correct or incorrect your answers may be, avoiding indefinite responses like "maybe," "probably," etc... (because maybe just isn't a good answer when a situation is 'hot')

With those tips in mind, add your own flavor and I'm sure you'll do well!

So i had the Oral board interview today. I think it went very well. I was very proffesional, got the chance to shake everyones hands, and answered all questions like i knew what i was talking about.

They said they would contact me and let me know if they want me to continue with polygraph and the rest of the process. I feel good about it tho!!!

Thanks! I went in a little nervous, but i feel pretty confident. Im young, passed all the tests, have taken some criminal justice classes and have some military experience. I hope all of this will come into play im my favor.
