Now there a lot pf choices on the market for long throw polishers. I might as well get something that is comfortable.

I don't want to spend the money for a Rupes because I don't use it enough.

Get something that works for your budget. Make sure to invest in good pads also. Don't skimp out on pads and polishes.

I'm partial to lake country pads and 3D polishes (speed and one). But that is me.

I had a Porter Cable 7424 awhile back and I really liked it. But after a few years it died on me. I was going to go with the Rupes but instead I picked up a TORQx from Chemical Guys because it was discounted for Black Friday. Ive had it for about two years and I dont like it. The motor blows hot air near where your hand is. Only reason I still have it is because I dont use it that often.

Couldnt agree more. When I had my Porter Cable I used Lake Country pads and Menzerna Polishes and they worked great. Ive tried Chemical Guys pads and compounds and they are not very good. They dont cut very well and take along time to get results. Also Autogeek has a sale right now on a Porter Cable Bundle.

I can't see spending $450 on a polisher that I'm only going to use 2 to 3 times a year. If I was using the polisher frequently I would pick up the Rupes 21MM Mark III.

I use Buff and Shine and Lake Country pads all the time. For compounds and polishes I use Meguiars.

I have an opportunity to get a 5” and 3” Rupes with bag for $250. Good deal?

I can't find deal like this in this area. Most people in this area probably never heard of Rupes. No tool stores heard of Rupes, even though Rupes been around for 75 years.
