6/12/2019 UPDATE: IN STOCK AND READY TO SHIP. See here for details and final product.

I posted in the 3rd Gen section but figured I'd see how many of you 2nd Gen guys are interested. A friend of mine machined front seat risers for his 2018 Tacoma and they turned out really nice. With input from some of those 3rd Gen guys, we modified the initial design to what is pictured below.

This will lift the front of your driver or passenger seat by about an 1-1/4". This should help some of you guys that are having back issues or leg cramps from the non-adjustable seat height or just generally want a taller.

Right now he's only doing the front risers but he could pretty easily do rear risers (although there are a few guys already doing the simple rear blocks).

The trick to the front risers is the offset bolt spacing and the almost parallelogram shape needed to lay flat and match the contour of the floor/seat. Because of the offset mounting points, these are far more time consuming to machine, hence the price difference from rear risers.

THIS IS NOT A FOR SALE THREAD. I'M JUST GAUGING INTEREST

Final product will cost $100 per seat and include:
    • Bolts in with no modifications to 2nd & 3rd Gen Tacomas
    • Fits Driver and Passenger Seats
    • Lifts FRONT of seat 1-1/4"
    • Rear centering steel roll pin (5/16")
    • Made from 7075 Aluminum (Talking the strong stuff that they build airplanes from ;))
    • Includes M10 Grade 10.9 Black Hardware (Reuse factory front bolt, rear/top bolt is coarse thread)
    • Includes Black Powder Coating - custom colors add $ and time.
    • Upgraded Roll Pins
    • Shipping to folks in the US only (for now).
    Rough schedule:
    • 4/30/19 - First 50 sets into production and we start taking orders via seperate For Sale thread.
    • 5/20/19 - Start shipping via USPS priority in conus
Now for pics. The last two are the original prototype in a 2nd Gen, all other pics are from a 3rd Gen.

    Thanks for looking,
    Steve

It looks extremely well made. The lift in the rear of the seat was all that I needed for my legs and back to quit aching.

Thanks for the feedback. Happy to hear the rear lift did it for you. When I was driving my 2nd gen I switched from a rear pocket to front pocket wallet because I thought that was the problem, turns out it was the incompatible seat height.

The threaded hole where the OEM seat bracket threads into the adapter - is that helicoiled or plain aluminum threads?

Coarse threads in aluminum, no helicoil.

Interested. I’m gonna go unbolt my seats and throw a block of wood in there to test the positioning

I know seat position comfort is variable person to person, but usually increasing the flexion of the leg is going to aggravate any back or ass/sciatic pain, which is why people raising the rear find it helps with positioning if it’s for pain reasons. I guess it depends though on your build and your posture when seated to begin with.

I think as far as build quality goes these look about as good as you can get with thought into design.

You could use both front and rear spacers to lift your seat up and have a little extra room under to install a radio, amp, air compressor, etc.

The for sale threads are live.

Just a heads up to anyone interested, I've started making these in bulk (well about 90 sets at a time).

They are for sale with a lot of solid reviews.

I even started a small one product website. Kinda like an album with one picture...at least for now.

Thanks for all the orders and reviews this far!
