3" lift using Fox Shocks Coilover, Total Chaos UCA's. Running: Duratrac 285/70/17 Rear suspension just a 1" block for now. Will have custom rear springs no block. Fox w/ Resi.
I would say 285 for sure... it just looks so much better! I am running Fox CO 3 inch lift with Duratracs. A little rubbing when full clock in reverse. Nothing bad at all. Off roading is never an issue.

i've ran 265's and 285's with my 3". started with 265s then when it was time to get new tires upgraded to 285s.

When it's time to buy tires again, I'll be going back down to 285's.

The ONLY thing better about the 285's (for me) is that they look beefier. With the 265's I got better mileage, no power loss, and no rubbing. The 265's performed just as well as the 285's off road. The rubbing is the main issue for me. I did some minor trimming to make on-road driving just fine, but without seriously hacking up my front end I will not eliminate rubbing while offroad. It sucks.

I have 285s with my OME lift and only rub in reverse at full turn also.

285s really do match well to a 3" lift on these trucks.

I went with 265s for the gas milage... and they don't look that bad, especially with the duratracs, they look bigger than they are.

I love the look of 285s, but don't wanna take the hit.
