Toyota says this vibration decelerating or coasting in the 30-10 MPH range is "normal" for these trucks. There's a TSB "fix" but it only applies to automatics and not the 2022s yet. Also, the TSB usually doesn't even fix the issue according to most owners on here. I'm curious how "normal" this is so a poll is in order. Please only respond if you're at stock height with an auto tranny as a lift will obviously impact this and the manuals may have this issue differently.

Update, October 2023: This T-SB-0124-20 Rev1 has now been expanded to include 2016-2023s. It still excludes MTs and some TRD OR trucks with details on that in the TSB. Note that many owners also get this vibration under steady constant throttle in the 30-10 MPH range as well as other vibrations at varying speeds, which all appear to be related.

I had the tsb done earlier this year. It did help, but the vibration is still noticeable. I'm sure a 2022 would already have the updated leaf springs so the tsb will not apply.

My 2020 did for the initial few hundred miles when new from the dealer, but totally went away. Hasn't returned. Truck currently has just over 14k miles is still totally vibration free.

Interesting that it did it when new then went away. I wonder what would cause that....

My 2020 has a minor vibration upon deceleration. Around 25mph, the transmission downshifts and the slight increase in rpm is felt as a slight rumble through the cab. It was more noticable when new and I barely notice it now unless I'm looking for it. :burnrubber:

Idk, maybe the converter breaking in. the truck only had .6 of a mile when i drove it off the dealers lot. When the issue initially happened i put the automatic transmission in neutral and it'd go away....so i figured thats what must be causing it. After 1200 miles it was a different truck like it had a break in chip.

Mine was very slight on deceleration when coming to a stop, but was noticeable at first, but no rumble that could be felt in the cab. It decelerates smoothly now. If you pay attention closely you could feel the transmission downshifting as you slow to a stop.

Kind of strange, I just put larger tires on with new method 305 16x8...tire size 265/75/16 and my 25mph vibes seem to have gone away. I will try to see if they are still there. I may have just stop noticing them. They were always very slight. 19k miles here

What ever causes the issue seems to be very sensitive as personally, I can tell a change from just adding 300 lbs of people or gear to the truck. Some guys have even said installing a camper shell or steel rear bumper made the vibes go away. I'm curious if your vibes are still there as I have some wheels and 265/70r17s to go on too.

I didn't have a lift for the 1st 3 years, and never had that problem. Even when I upsized my tires.

I have a 2022 with 300+ miles on it and like a few others have said, it has a vibration at lower speeds after it downshifts into 1st. Before buying this one I test drove three other 2022's over a few weeks and they all did the same thing.

    Mine is a 2WD SR5

My 2021 OR automatic had vibration. I just lifted it a month ago. So…..now more vibration. It doesn’t bother me though.

Interesting and useful info that they all did it. Were they all 2wd like yours?

I tested last night, no discernable vibrations at 25mph, none that I could feel anyway. On stock tires it almost felt like the car was driving over a very very mild rumble strip. Not anymore

I don't know if the stock wheels and tires were slight out of balance or one of the tires out of round. Or maybe it was some kind of harmonic frequency that would go through the truck

Anyway, method 305 16x8 and duratrac 265/75/16 fixed it as far as I can tell

Yes they were however a couple different trim levels. One was a 2WD TRD OR and another had the XP package. Both had larger tires then mine but still had the same resonating vibration when the trans downshifts info first coming to stop.

Oddly enough after writing my comments last night, this morning on the way to work the vibration felt a little less. I was at 357 miles when I left my house. Maybe it's breaking in or I'm just getting used to it.

It's tough to track down for sure. Usually with wheels and tires out of round or balance, they just feel worse as you drive faster. If this issue is just vibration/resonance, then I can see how some wheels with a different offset and heavier tires might change it just enough to make it go away. I had a 2018 that I never drove long enough on the stock wheels to know if anything vibrated. I put different wheels and tires on right away and it never had any vibrations at any speed.

Sounds the same as a buddies ex 2019 trd was. He did a 3'' lift and it got way worse. Put it back to stock last year. The vibration was still noticeable, but not nearly as bad.
