I really really like the truck but the paint on the truck is so thin it will scratch if you sneeze on it.

Love mine. Wanted one for years and got just what iwanted. Would love better mpgs, but it's a capable crew cab 4x4 with aggressive 265s and getting 18 to 19, so can't complain much.

Love it. Now that I have the 5100's and AAL it's the truck it always should've been.

My 07 has been in the shop more then my first 4 toyots ( 84 89 93 99 ) together. Not happy with toyota dealers anymore at all. You go in for tsb work and they put the yard boy on your truck. Hope gas keeps going up by the end of this year can trade taco and happy meal for 4x4 crew tundra. Dont like to pull up to light and not have nicest truck there!!!

Eh my issues with the manual are, weak throw out bearings leading to early failure, horrible rev bump on shift (seriously ruins the experience 100% for me), and the crappy plastic and easily worn out clutch pedal. I just found it a chore to drive instead of fun like it should be. :)

Nice truck, but a PITA a lot - seems like every month something goes wrong - EFI relay, then another relay, horn blows a fuse, overhead compass/temp display goes out, both rear door auto lock/unlock quit working and now the fan stops working just in time for warm weather.
Overall, I like the truck, but I am not impressed with all the minor repairs required to keep it going.

My 91 extracab has 180,000 miles on it an runs like new but it's only a 4 cyl an couldn't go 80 mph if I pushed it off a cliff ,I still get in the mid 20s on gas milege...If my 2008 DC is anything like it at that age,I'll be a happy camper...But I'm still a huge Toyota fan an won't look at anything else...

I bought / ordered an 05' before the dealership even received their first one on the lot. Rolled it in early 2008 (got it sideways on ice, hit dry pavement and a tree stopped me after the 3rd revolution). After insurance settled and cut me a check I bought a 2008.....same thing; DC, Silver, TRD, 4X4, locking diff, etc. I would buy it all over again too.

i do love my truck. but i admit, there are some head-slapping things wrong with it.

weak tailgate, stupid AC compressor does that random crunching noise, etc..

but for the most part, i have faith in it. i know i could hop in right now and drive it across the country. (well, my stock battery is getting old)

So you regret getting volume control on the steering wheel and bluetooth?

Or you regret NOT getting them?

Love the truck big time but as with most things you can always see improvements like the following:

    1. Wish they had just slightly longer seats
    2. Hate those Dunlop Grand Touring tires (GY Duratracs here I come)
    3. Air conditiong switch for max air is a joke
    4. Rearview mirror could be bigger

Other than that love the truck

Got 256,000 miles out of my first one (1999) and sold it for $3000. On my second one now (2011) and expecting to get at least that much mileage out of it!
