Recently got some duratracs, went w/ the black out; truck is Barcelona Red, and will be adding black nerf bars in the future perhaps, so that's why I did mine as such...

I have white letters out, I think it looks good. But they got to be solid white, not just the outline.

It depends on what kind of tires they are. If they're BFG's, good year, etc. then white out but if they're some off brand, then black out.

ok I went with the blackwalls out due to the fact that after the white lettering gets messed up they start to look like crap and some times the white peels off of some tires

I have always had the white letters out, and prefer the look. BUT now I am reconsidering my choice. I have Goodyear Duratracs being shipped to me on Teflon chambers which will go on a Mag Grey truck, with white letters out...

I am hoping I will again be pleased with the white letters out, but if not, how many miles can put on the tires before it would be impossible to reverse them, or would it ever be impossible since I could just switch sides and keep the same rotational direction?

The 70's was white letters out.
The 80's were white letter in.

Used to scrub the white letters with an SOS pad or Comet to get them bright white.

For some reasons, white letter out and knee high tube socks were so 70's.

I just put on 285 Duratracs black side out. I prefer black's looks. Even if I liked the looks of white, I probably wouldn't show them because it would be one more thing to take care of. I'm lucky to wash my truck once every 2 months, much less sit around and detail wheels. Dirty white walls look like shit.

If you debadge then black out.

If you don't then white out is ok.

You don't debadge and have white out - that feats the purpose
