    Yeah.
Seems that most people haven't had to do much, if anything, to fit this size on a stock TRD Pro, but others did have to do some modifications. Creating a poll to collect people's experiences in one place to help myself and others decide if it is worth a shot. If the poll answers don't cover your experience, pick the closest one and please post details.

    Yeah.
OK, c'mon, only 1 vote so far? There's more of you out there . . . . but don't just crazy vote if you don't actually own a Pro, this is an attempt at real science here.

I don't own a Pro, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

Having made that disclaimer, I know someone who's done that, and told me that he had minor rubbing. But he does very little off roading.

I have 285 75 MT nitto trail grappler and i had to heat gun the liners and i still herd them rub when i had it in reverse and went kinda fast while turning. I also did the CMC i would go 285 70 if i had to do it again.

Great thread start sir! I just got my first used pro earlier this year and am due for new tires before winter. Ideally, Ill run 285/75 w/2-3 lift to keep my fox. I already have the OVTune, as performance is less than ideal. I’d love other folks input!!

Please y’all! I’m not a troll and don’t want to be nasty, but the thread title is pretty clear: if you don’t have a TRD PRO please don’t post here!

We really want to get pro owner feedback on fitting 285s and zero fcuks otherwise.

285/75/16 Duratracs - no rubbing and I haven't done any mods. Bought the truck preowned so maybe the previous owner used the heat gun but no CMC. Nothing looks particularyly remolded in the wheel wells. Of course there isn't a lot of flexing to be done where I am in Florida (or at the mall).

Any more updates? I’m getting serious about upgrading tires, so have been looking at mine closing and don’t see how I could fit 285/75 or even 255/85s..maybe w/ an adjustable UCA, but that’s more $$ I don’t want to spend right now...

    Yeah.
I personally ended up going with 265/75's in an E-rating. While the 285's would look cool, I need function over form and am in the same boat -- I don't really want to go changing much more. BTW, love the KO2's I got.

I too don't own a Pro, but I haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn Express either.

Seriously, I think 285's would rob you of too much power. Get yourself a nice taller (pizza cutter) tire and enjoy the extra ground clearance, without the power loss.
