Here is a possible solution for those that don't like the way it defaults to "on"... https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10150012-9999.pdf

No issues. But I live in the PNW. You don't want PCS on when roads are compact snow/ice. An automatic brake application could cause loss of control.

Sometimes I have it turned off for days or weeks. Saves the tedious button pressing at every start-up.

I need to get a cable for TS. My dealer refuses to turn it off even after a recommendation by a Toyota engineer. I had issues before the recall and it hit brakes twice in the snow. I wanted it fixed but was told they had no idea how long they needed to keep it and it could be weeks so I declined. The engineer suggested they turn it off until it could be investigated.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
I'll say "yes", but I bought one that was made before all that junk was added. Bad enough it has traction and ABS controls to mess with the brakes and handling.

Was there a fee/charge to have the settings changed?

I think they charged me $32 because it wasn't warranty work. No big deal.

Hello all! I am new to the forum since my recent purchase of a 2020 SR 4X. I love the truck but I am having nothing but trouble with the PCS system error messages popping up every time I tow my 3200 Lb travel trailer. I use a properly adjusted "Equalizer" WDH and a Primus brake controller. I have had the dealer reset the PCS system now 4 times after each towing event. I now have 6ooo miles on the truck and am seriously thinking about dumping it. Yesterday the dealer had me bring the truck and trailer to them without the electrical attached to the trailer and the system failed on the way to the dealer. They kept the truck and trailer all day and after resetting the system, test drove the combo for a long drive and of course, the system did not repeat the failure for them. I returned to the dealership at the end of the day and took the Service rep for a drive and it did not fail. I drop him off back at the dealership and head for home, and not more than 5 minutes later, it fails. I took a photo of the error message and emailed it to the service rep and called to let him know. The more this happens, the more random it seems to be. Turning, straight, Brake controller plugged in(or not). The Service rep said that the Corporate Toyota service tech is saying that it is the trailer wiring that is causing this. Just to be clear, I have no lift, my new tires are only 1/10 of 1 inch taller than stock, When the trailer is hooked up the truck is dead flat. The fender heights before and after trailer hookup are EXACTLY the same. message only occurs while towing and the error seems to absolutely random. If nothing else, please give me some advice on fighting Toyota on this.

Thanks to all for any advice you can give on this
