While Icon does make the best shock, for a DD and light wheeling the Toytec is more than enough. They are height adjustable and direct replacement no spring compressor needed. Plus Toytec will replace the billies for the life of your shocks. $1150 for eveything front and rear is a good deal! It all depends on how you use your truck. You can always add some balljoint UCA later as Camburg told me the only difference is the strength. The extra travel is still there. Loose your sway bar and it's a pretty sweet ride!

Sorry, I meant lose (not loose) your sway bar. While not having one will increase body roll during fast cornering and high speed maneuvers, it does make the suspension feel smoother. It's hard to explain but when I took mine off it just felt as if each side was traveling smoother and not affecting the other side. Hit a search for "sway bar" and you'll have more than enough info. The new shocks will be stiffer than stock and will help make up for the extra body roll. Just research so you know how you are affecting your truck and base your decision on that.

Yea, my cost was a bit hard to swallow. But I'm hoping my expectations will be exceeded and I'll be loving it. All I've received so far is the rims. Everything else is in transit.

Congrats on making the decision and getting the lift delivered. Now comes the fun part...the install. So what troubles are you having???

    ICONs (front and rear) :D
    Duratrac 265/75/16s :D
    Konig OR wheels :D
    TC UCAs :D

Just waiting on the All-Pro leaf pack. Which I ordered FIRST! They have
now shipped...but they just called to tell me the package is minus the
bushings which they don't have in stock.

I still need black lug nuts for the rims too. Anybody know where to get them? I know they are 12X1.5.

Well isnt that a happy load! effin sweetttt!

Heres what i am in the process of doing.
If $$ were no option, it would of course be Icons, kings or Fox all around . but it is, and I dont wheel as much as I would like to. but still want a smoother ride, and especially to upgrade my leafs for loads. and 1.5-2" lift at most. to (Try and) minimize the change on the geometry, and keep the highway ride smooth. so i went with this after eating it all up for the last year. use that search feature. :D...
    BFG AT 165/70/17
    5100s all around
    LR UCAs
    OME 885s
OME Dakar leafs (thats next in the list. no spare $$ right now. and half this stuff is sitting waiting to do all at once. Idid my brake pads and rear 5100s myself this summer, but the fronts just a wee bit more involved.)

From my research, Dakars are the best all around Leafs for my purposes. 7 leaf pack meant for increased weight AND offroad, with 1.5 "added lift by themselves.
Thats exactly what I am looking for. but once again I am a moderate user compared to most of these fellas. I just need to get to the mountain and the Rio, under all conditions year round.

This looks like a good package for OME: I almost wish I would have saved up, but I got all my stuff piece by piece... cool thing about the B/S/T forum is people are always upgrading , ("going a different direction") and every week there are some VERY acceptable leftovers....:taco: for a rookie :cookiemonster: like me . not one set of used Dakars coming off a truck that i've seen yet tho....
