I've had my '16 Tacoma since new, now has 60k miles. As far I know my truck has all the flash updates applied. It still has a problem if I pull out into traffic and let off the gas for a second, then accelerate, the truck hesitates for a few seconds! (feel like the transmission is hunting or slipping) I have learned to live with this and can deal with it.
After reading about the OVTune, I was considering it, but I'm not willing to pay out $800 for this.
I've mentioned it to my Toyota service department, they say they can't duplicate it,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I plan on keeping my truck, so I will continue to live with this issue.

@Stormpeacock will be at RedClay in Newnan on April 5th to tune a bunch of people there if you wanna meet him? He's tuned almost a hundred trucks by now, and has multiple different tune options for you to choose form for your best fit. I'm also in Georgia, and he tuned mine over 9 months ago, best thing I've done for my truck yet

I might be interested. I just need to do some more research. I'm not unhappy with my truck, but I wonder if I could be happier.

2017 auto? You would be MUCH happier. Even manuals see a good improvement. Bonus is I'm only about 10 minutes from you.

Hey I'm in a 2016 Taco OR and I changed my intake to a TRD intake. I made a small mod on it and I'm getting pretty good mileage about 700kms/tank. It is a bit more responsive and even better in ECT mode. Will this tune be worth it for me ??

Yes, the biggest improvement will be the shifting ..... so much better than stock.

Got vFtuner for my 2020 TRD off road (04B80) AT, stock. After I initially registered vFtuner and installed the included file/tune, the truck immediately had more responsiveness and my mileage jumped up from about 17mpg in daily/mixed driving to just over 19 after a couple tanks of settling down. I then installed the tune for regular gas/stock from the tune pack and already in the first week of driving back and forth to work I was getting over 20mpg. I just drove it from San Antonio to Austin and back over the weekend (with typical I35 traffic and slow downs) and actually hit 22.3 mpg just before I pulled into my driveway and that was with a week of daily driving on the front end from last week. AND, I was using cruise control with adaptive cruise; something I could not do before OVTune because the shifting was so terrible it drove me nuts and totally killed my gas mileage. I still haven't done the TSB, but I'm considering it.

    Thanks OVTune!
