What are YOUR pros and cons about the existing TRD badge?

I think the placement is horrible for those that put caps on.

    Pro:

It keeps the original factory look which I kind of like.
I think it is kind of cool looking.
It may positively effect resale value.

    Con:

I think having a big old sticker that says "off road" is kind of cheesy. Like the 4" high letters that say "turbo" on everything from the '80s.
I really like clean and minimalist looking things.
TRD is almost the same as "TURD"

If you don't turn your vehicles over every couple of years I would check resell value off my list. They're easily replaced.

For the cons I would say you sound like you are a good candidate to strip the badge and go bare...or if that look gets old or not doing it for you look for something custom that has a factory appearance that is a design you like that makes it unique to you. Sky's the limit and I've seen some stellar designs on this site.

Yeah, I can't imagine that it has much if any effect on resale value and if they are like $15 or $20 to replace, or even if you go the stupid expensive factory route and buy the $72 stickers, that still won't be much in the scope of the overall purchase price.

I am leaning towards stripping them off but was curious what others thought and why. I see it as a pretty low risk "mod" since it isn't really a mod.

I am going to make a rash decision when I have my tools out (when I am installing my new Tonneau that shows up tomorrow)!

I went with the clean look. De badged and stickers removed, I like it. It's good to change things up once in a while. Still have the window sticker so resale won't be affected. :p

Easy to remove...heat and slow and steady wins the race. I've kept mine on because I like them.

I've modified my last two cars since 2010 and ended up selling them and losing money. And a lot of times I didn't have a build vision and after adding one mod removed another for looks....an endless game. I'm trying to keep mine as stock as possible with the exceptions of steps, tonneau, grille, and a bike rack...we shall see how that pans out for me, lol. Plan to keep this one at least five years....but I've said that two times so far.

Tough one! TRD Off Road is cool...the '16 4x4 is borderline too much. I would not rock the "sport". That's open game for a new nickname. For my 2nd Taco arriving soon I went the custom route with @CBoy808!!! Ordered them yesterday and excited for them

My girlfriend once made vinyl "u"s and put them on my truck so it would say turd. Took me 10 seconds to notice. Sucks for her that I look at my truck when I walk up to it haha.
