Place to sleep out of the weather and store/lock gear while hiking and backpacking for 300 bucks? I'll take it.

One thing at a time. I'm upgrading suspension first, then doing the bumpers. Priorities.

What do you think of the kit? I think I will order one in the next year or so once I get settled after my upcoming move

I figure if I'm going to keep filling this thread with BS I should contribute a pic of a bumper no one has seen before... This is my neighbor's bumper which he made in like two days so he could have a winch for his trip to Death Vally, it is all aluminum c-channel and tube and the front under the license plate has been machined into a fairlead for the winch. This is stupid strong but certainly not pretty, seen him really beat on it though and it holds up. Love this truck and the way it works though, it's what made me get a Tacoma.

Understandable, I still think @ffirg has the best looking bumper made for 1st Gens, the one you posted looks similar.

The kit was SUPER easy to put together. I had a friend of mine down the street do all the welding and he was impressed with how quick and easy it was to assemble as well. I highly recommend it. I saved a ton of money on shipping as well by opting for the DIY kit. It also came with a super sweet wreath mount.

It doesn't come with turn signals. I bought the 2" LED signals at O'reillys for around 6ish gold shillings. splice the wires into the original turn signal wires and then replaced the turn signal flasher relay (behind the knee bolster fuse panel) with the Novita EP35 flasher from Advanced Auto (also on Amazon).
