Just traded my 2006 SR5 for a new one. Never drove it because in my opinion, the Taco is the only game in town regarding "mid-sized" trucks. Nothing else even considered.
Driven the new one only about 100 miles and love it!

It doesn't compare. My Tacoma is far superior to my jeep in every way other than off road capability. Of course I opted to go with manual everything and only got the connectivity package in my JKR but it was the same cost as my Tacoma so by cost and comfort comparison the jeep sucked.

I test drove both a manual and then an auto two separate times. At first I wasn't impressed with the performance but coming from a 07 Tundra who would be. After test driving the second time I was sold and I picked up my off road last Friday. I love the truck and look forward to making it even better. I'm putting leather in on the 30th. I will post some pictures then.

Test drove a '15 and loved it. Coming from a '91 4Runner anything new was gong to impress.:D I decided to wait for the '16 and see if it was worth the extra money. (This is in September and Toyota was offering discounts on the '15 model). Took the 2016 out and just liked the truck better. Nothing wrong with the 2015 but it was the Gen 2 and my plan is to keep the 2016 until the government took my license away or God decided I didn't need one anymore. I expect delivery of my 2016 by Dec 1 and should be driving it by the end of that week. The dealer will install the options I chose, mount the winter tires and winter rims and undercoat the truck before delivery. I just have to nurse my '91 around for 12 more days.

I did look at the Colorado. GM dealer sales folks were to busy having coffee to notice my walking around their truck in the showroom with pamphlet in hand. Noticed stuff hanging underneath the truck that surely was going to be a problem if I ran into mud holes etc on fishing outings so after five minutes I just left without the pamphlet but $45K in my pocket. Things must bo going much better in GM land. Heck the Colorado is "Truck of the Year"!
