I have -25 wheels and 315/75/16 tires with a bmc still rub at full lock when I hit a big dip. I recommend a BMC before a UCA if clearance is the main issue.

Any reports of tires rubbing the UCA running 285/70-17s w/ 17x8.5s 4.75 BS? Had to use wheel spacers with the JBAs.

Does anyone know if there's slightly different models or different generations of these arms? I ask because the pics dsp 8 and Puga posted, have arms where the ball joint appears to be at a more exaggerated angle than the arms in the photos of Taco Hungry and Jack Bates. Puga and Dsp's photos appear to match the pics currently on Poly performances website...
I found these currently 30% off a few days ago and they shipped and delivered in about 48 hours. I was feeling pretty excited except the box they are in says "2 inch lift" where the website says 1-3" of lift. When I unboxed them, I found they have the less angle on the ball joint, similar to taco hungry and Jack bates' arms.
Im just curious as to whether or not they may have originally had a version with the ball joint configured at 2 inches, and then later made a change so that it would also work with a 3" lift.
I reached out to customer service but its the weekend so likely won't get a response for a few days and wanted to see if anyone else might know or remembered what the lift height on their box said.
Thanks in advance for any help!
To clarify what it is I'm referencing that raised the question, see the pics below and the difference between DSP's uca vs. Mine. Dsp's has measurable amount of steel above the ball joint on the spring side where mine appears to sit more flush in the cup. To me, it seems like Dsp's ball joint is at a better angle to sit level on the knuckle, maximizing ball joint articulation. Maybe I'm way over analyzing it though...

I ordered these arms due to my oem upper ball joints were worn out and I needed to replace them anyway. My alignment is good now. I'm not sure how high my lift is though. Poly performance customer service was awesome though when I called them. You can call and hopefully they can let you know I'd there is a difference.

I was actually referring to how the balljoint sits in the UCA before its installed... I finally got around to installing them and the good news is that they gave me about 2 degrees of caster so my alignment is much better but as expected, the angle in which the ball joint is pressed into the arm is not significant enough to offset the droop at ride height associated with a 3" lift and therefore leave my balljoint well past vertical, yielding limited downtravel.
These also hit my coil when going over speed bumps.
I dont mean to sound like I'm bashing the product because they do seem extremely well built and accomplished my alignment correction which was my primary concern. However, I feel like they are probably better suited for less than 3" of lift.

Might need to get some extended bumps for the front might prevent them from hitting your coils

Yeah, I've got lots of room for up travel so the bumpstops are fine but I can definitely benefit from some sort of limit strap although I havent really seen anyone use them... at the end of the day I should have just spent more money to do everything correctly but I've got 185k on the truck and this literally started as a "brake job" that quickly escalated. Off roading is minimal these days so as long as the balljoints hold up I should be ok.

I don't know if it's the arms or my alignment guy but I have an issue after installing the arms. I did have my 265/75r16 on when I went to get the alignment but I told the shop I have 285s normally. I gave them an alignment spec sheet I got off of tacoma world saying these is where it needs to be or I'll rub with the bigger tires. They told me it was all good and it does seem fine with my smaller tires. I put my bigger tires on and the tread is bitting into the cab mount badly. So now I HAVE to do the cmc to even drive with the 285s

I think you're at the mercy of the alignment shop and the specific tech that works on it. I have a lifetime alignment at Firestone but they try their best to be right in the center of the factory specs so they actually took the caster from 3 degrees to 2.5 even though I told them not to. Ill likely try to have it done somewhere else to see if I can get it back to 3 degrees.
In your case, I would take it back and have the try again. Most places will do the minimum so if it was good at the moment, they probably just shrugged off your recommendation.

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but it seems like a good place to ask this question.

Are the ball joints in these arms replaceable? If so, is it just a stock upper joint?
