    It is very nice, but it is not designed to be mounted on the frame. It is designed to be mounted inside the engine bay where the battery is already tied into a known weak point. All you are doing there is putting a very small bandaid, if that at all and allowing the rad support to continue be stressed by the weight.

    I haven't read the entire thread, but is this the correct way to "assemble" these radiator bushings? The metal sleeve inside middle..

    Any tips on getting the old bushings out?


    Don't have sliders..yet..so I'll loosen the bolt, floor jack by the frame, and then try to remove it the rest of the way.

    Also, for those putting the larger bushing on top, wouldn't that be like a bodylift, but only on the front and none on the cab, creating more stress on the sheet metal?

    See my pic in post #71. It's easy to pry the sheet metal up and the top bushing slides right out.

    On the older trucks it seems to help a little bit having the thick part on top. My truck is fairly new and when I put the thick bushing on top is screwed up the alignment on my rad support. Once I flipped them back around alignment was perfect.

    Interesting. Since I'm keeping the OEM body mounts and front bumper and I am like 80% daily driver, I'm going to install the smaller part on top as well.

    This is a universal kit, meaning it works on a Tacoma, however it wasn't designed specifically for it, install it how it works for you.
