    Just the basics
I believe Crom stated he liked the universal ones better than the ones in the set.

As stated multiple times, there are advantages and disadvantages to the OE vs. Universal style bushings. The universal uses a weaker inner sleeve while the OE has a stronger one. On the flip side, the universal uses stronger bushings and the OE is softer. The universal can be used to add a small body lift to the front end while the OE does not.

Personally I love my universals in the front. They have been on here since I posted the thread and have not been an issue whatsoever.

That being said I combined the best of both worlds since I had both OE AND universal style bushings from the kits and just ran the OE inner sleeves in the universal bushings.

I settled on the softer ones as my choice I don't want to deal with hood alignment/stiffness/vibe transfer and so on. The ones from the kit are softer than the universal ones but I've seen energy suspensions stuff of a similar durometer and I expect them to last as long as I have the truck. I will have a universal set for sale once I get my hands on the kit rad bushings.

@taco09 any word on your hookup for the radiator bushings? I'm sure there are a few people including myself interested, let me know. PM me if you want

Here ya go. ES told me there was only one person in the country that could order individual parts from them and provided me with a contact number.
The web address on his letterhead is bad so no link but I contacted him as follows. He appears to be a sole proprietor.
    Bruce
    Suspension Restoration Parts
    209-578-5101
    Modesto, CO

The parts for the core support that are in the ES main kit #8.4109 are:

    2ea. - 15.03.59.39 Washer (2 " O.D. x .406" I.D.)
    2ea. - 15.03.13.39 Washer (1-3/4" O.D. x 7/16" I.D.)

    2ea. - 15.10.151.39 Sleeve (5/8" O.D. x 7/16" I.D. x 1.640") (listed as B15.10.151.39 on my receipt)

2ea. - 4241 Upper Body Mount (listed as B4141 on my receipt)
2ea. - 4242 Lower Body Mount (listed as B4142 on my receipt)

I did not purchase the washers as I have them already. They appear to be body washers that can be found at a hardware store.

The cost including shipping was $31.42 to my destination in mid-part of country.

Got the universal kit (9.4101G) from what I under stand is the small bushing in the kit should go on the top to avoid clearance issues between the fan and shroud ? I don't have an off road bumper. I want to avoid extra body lift, looking for a factory "like" fit. TIA

I'll be doing this install today - I ordered new nut/bolt from Toyota as well (I'll post up the part number later for the hardware).
I'll be putting the larger bushing up top

Alright just installed mine. Took me about 30 minutes, a jack and a 2x4...a bit sketchy because the 2x4 kept wanting to slide out but I shoved my foot behind it....

Photos of the new oem Toyota hardware part numbers.

I put the larger one on top. I did at first put the smaller one up, but my the front sounded like it pounded. Swapped them and been happy since with the larger one top.

No fit or clearance issues with the larger one on the top ? I have heard of the fan rubbing on the fan shroud with the larger bushing on top.

No sounds on my 13. Works like a champ and everything still looks alligned like it came that way from the factory. Maybe some of the older trucks have radiator support issues??? I know the battery weighs the front down pretty hard as well. I put mine on around 30k, haven't regretted it since, just turned 48k

HAHA well I have heard both sides on here: big or small on top, that is the question. Seems like there is a very clear answer but nah can't be that easy. My truck bumpers are stock. Just want to only do this job once ! Guess I am going to try the larger bushing on top for now.

Seems very sketchy, some do this, some do that. Can't hurt, if it doesn't look right, or you get the fan rub, then just flip them. Not too hard of a job if you pull off the grill at the least.

Im getting some clunking on my passenger side towards the front of the truck. I only normally hear it when going over larger pot holes on accident or making left turns over bumps and oddly when theres heavier people in my truck and im going up a steep incline. Its more noticeable with more weight in the cab. Do you guys think it could be my body mount bushings? Ive just gone over the whole front end and everything is nice and tight. My bushings did seem like they were in ok shape too

I just re-torqued the lower control arms last week after I got an alignment (swapped UCA bushings and balljoints)

That's what happened to me after an alignment. they left them loose. I went elsewhere after that.
