seems like everyone has done it differently and swears by their way. I compared the bushing sizes to the ones that I was taking out and I think the small one went on top. The bottom one doesn't really impact anything as it relates to height on the truck (if that makes sense).

I too have a plate bumper and already have plenty of fender gap, so there was absolutely no desire to separate those any further.

Mods are currently being changed .....

Why do everyones bolts look pristine! I gotta take a pic of what mine look like. In the meantime, does the cab mount bushings help w/ the taco lean? edit: disregard. I think the additional gap between fender and bumper would be more annoying than the lean.

I think the "how about" implies that he's open to offers. Let him know what they are worth to you and maybe you come to an agreement.

My bolts were super rusted. Had to take them to the bench wheel and then a big layer of neverseize before reinstalling.

I'll go down to $23 shipped - that works out to $15 for the bushings and $8 for shipping.

I didn't realize shipping was that much. You can sell them to SR-71A if he wants them

I recently put OME 887s and new UCAs on with a 1/4" top plate spacer to adjust for the Taco lean on the drivers side but it wasn't enough.
I should have gone with the next size up but to late now.
I just ordered this kit (8.4109G) after seeing this thread (thanks OP).
What I'm wondering is if I can reverse the pucks like you do but only on the driver's side and put the passenger side on normally to level it out a little more.
Does that seem like it would work or would the wheel wells gaps still look the same (slightly uneven) but overall the front height would even out?

I would only feel comfortable with consistency on both sides. The sheet metal in the body in that area isn't the strongest, so I would avoid unnecessary stress.

After reading and reading it seems like Energy Suspension 8.4109G Body Mount are the ones to get. Then some people talked about how the hardware is starting to rust pretty bad and somethings aren't lining up. My rig is an 09 and has 160k miles and is going in next week to get the E02 and frame replaced. I took some advice and got the trans, motor and cab bushings. I bought all OEM parts and also ended up getting the Energy Suspension 8.4109G Body Mounts. Probably going to return them.
Every thing is stock now. Should I just use the OEM cab mounts or not?

    Thanks

If it were my truck, yes, use OEM. I plan on ordering OEM when it is time.

I second this. You'll be most happy with OEM. Then, when those wear out in 10 years, you can install the ES kit.

Finally getting around to these tomorrow.

Gonna go with small puck on the top + washer (oem bumper don't want the gap anywhere)

Wish me Luck! I'll post before an afters tomorrow

All finished. Left is the drivers side and the right is the passenger side. Pretty straight forward to be honest and should have done it sooner. As others have mentioned the drivers side did take waaay longer. I started on the drivers side and had an issue with the bushing lining up to get the screw through. So after a while of frustration I moved onto the passenger side. It was cake. Once I removed the oem bushing and bolt I went back to the drivers side and that remedied the misalignment. Tightened that side went back to the passenger side fished there. All said and done it was about an hours work. Haven’t driven it yet so we’ll see how it feels. Hope this helps anyone still waiting to do it!

X2 I just did mine yesterday and the drivers side lines up like shit. The bushing was compressing more on one side than the other and was bulging out and the top washer was not centered what so ever so I drilled out the hole a bit.

after I drilled out the hole it helped mitigate how much the bushing was bulging out but still doesn’t fit the way it should
