The front end felt really good driving to work today. Absolutely no pops, clicks, thuds or other strange noises... nothing! I even drove it a little bit commando and it feels really solid! I'm stoked! I'm going to leave the washer out for now and just keep an eye on it. I think it's going to be fine.

No. The tighter you go, the more the bushing gets squeezed. There is no stop. I think I found a clever way to find the right amount of torque though, by tightening the joint and then lifting from slider, the weight of the wheel will pull the frame away from the body and you can see the joint try and separate. I did this, and then snugged it down.

I have to agree. I'm now a believer after seeing it on my own truck.

I bet it is happening but people probably don't know to look for it until it's too late. Saw Monkeyproof's post the other day.

@MonkeyProof You need these bushings. :D

Same here, I should have jumped on them when they were $10. As soon as someone said something on the forums they went to $24.

They're a no rush mod for me, so I'll wait for a deal.

    Huh...

Meanwhile, the cracks in my front driver side core support has grown larger. There are now cracks in the very front of the core support. And the cracks in the cab have also grown some in size

You should become best friends with a torch and steel filler rod.

No worries dude. I'm having similar issues. I feel your pain.

What's there to sub about guys? Just do the damn thing and get it over with. Save your core support and install these bushings and relocate your battery too!

Smoked. Get the new bushings in there ASAP, put big one on top! If you do this, you'll notice that the inside of the old bushings do not have a round hole, they'll be stretched and oblong shaped.
