I just did this mod with the 9.4101G kit. First off I guess Im lucky and had 0 issues with the driver or passenger side lining up. Both went really quick and easy. However, I have an issue with these that Im not sure if Im
    being too picky about.

So I decided to do the bigger bushing on the bottom and smaller in between so I didn’t mess the the bumper gap since Im running a stock bumper still. I like that these make the truck feel solid again... but almost too much cause of the durometer. I feel like Im driving a sports car now, I feel the road a lot more.

I understand the other kit which is for the cab mounts as well are not as stiff which I like, but the surface area is smaller. Really wish they offered the 9.4101G kit with the “squishyness” of the other kit.

    Just the basics
Look for cracks in the tin metal of the core support, fenders, and battery mount. Toyota uses shit metal and if you actually use your truck off-road it may develop cracks.

Well here is the problem.. there is a lot of weight riding on those stupid bushings and Toyota underdeveloped the core support using the equal to soda can metal. There needs to be one extreme or another, too soft, NVH is nonexistent but as you can see the bushings are garbage and cause more issues than what their intended use does. If you go too firm it will stiffen things up and it may feel like a sports car, but as much as you have riding on all that metal you have to give up the NVH isolation factor in order for things to keep from damaging metal, staying firm, planted, and seated properly.

These are the compromises you must make to preserve the OE stuff.

I'll look into that. Also, as others have mentioned here or on another "front end noise" thread the squeak tends to completely or almost completely disappear during rain and shortly after rain. Which leads me to believe its something that needs lubrication? Happened to rain last night not much but enough and the truck was silent as can be.

    Too many to list.
Radiator bushings done a few days ago. One of the quickest jobs I've done on the truck.

I tried the cab mount bushings and couldn't get one bolt off the frame plate bushing. The shop will have to take care of them. I'm really fearful of breaking something. Something I noticed, after I gave up and put everything together I drove it to see if the clunk was worse. It was. Which tells me that my clunking issue is the cab mount bushings. I can't wait to get this one done.

I will check that once I get it back. I'm having the shop doing the most mount bushings tomorrow. I tried this past weekend but the stupid bolts won't come off the frame and I don't want to fubar anything.

I figured I would change the front bushings before I had any issues because I like doing preventative maintenance. My ‘19 has 12K miles and these were obviously shit already. Thanks OP. Great thread. DA6FBD4D-ED29-4F57-9D37-514F5CCD681D.jpg

This is exactly the response I was looking for! Now that its been a week on these I'm already used to it and I'm actually now very happy with the mod. I went and did some local wheeling yesterday and these bushings really shine off the road. For the first time my truck actually feels like my mid travel suspension is doing all the work... which is obviously ideal. Thanks for the response!

something to be said about the bushings. I had a decent amount of miles over 100k (guessing I did mine around 140k) and I did more damage to them removing them than the truck had done in all those miles. So don't look at pictures of the destroyed bushings and think that they wore out that badly from use. They did wear out some over use, but probably not as bad as the pictures post-removal make them look.

Finally got the Tacoma specific core supports from the 8.4109G kit installed this weekend. Replaced the shitty universal ones.

Such an improvement. No more clunking sound. We'll see how long it holds up and if any noises eventually return, but overall these ones seem way better.

Stumbled on this tread and now just order the radiator support bushings. I’m just over 200k miles and cab mounts are one of the few wear and tear parts I haven’t replaced. Curious to see the shape of the old ones.
