Check the torque on them to make sure they didn't loosen up maybe

I got mine in tonight. Turns out I found a new use for my OEM jack. Used it to push the drivers side core support back a tad by pushing back on the front bumper for leverage, moved just enough to get the damn bolt in. Passenger side went in no problem. I am thinking that the drivers side core support was probably a little tweaked (1/4" or so) from having the dual batteries in there. Good news is no sign of any sheet metal or core support cracking.

Old bushings have seen better days so I'm looking forward to the front end not shifting around quite as much

I went with the 9.4 ones. So I was able to do a little inspecting when I got home late last night from work. Re torqued the nut. Bounced the front a bit. Even though it sounded similar, it may not be the issue after all. Story of the taco life, eliminate one noise only for another to take its place. So much fun...

Yeah that is very true. Just because you think a noise is coming from a certain area doesnt mean it actually is :D

That being said, I threw the universal kit out after maybe a month on my truck. Spent the $ for the real kit which seems to fit and work better

check your sheet metal for cracks, I get a bunch of creaky squeaky from that. The areas behind the headlights, fender areas etc.

Yes, the 8.4109G kit. If you image search that you can see the differences and how the 'real' ones are shaped to fit the frame mounts. Vs the perfectly flat pucks of the universal kit

gotcha, went back into the thread and found post #38 shows the differences with nice pics thanks. Time will tell how the universal holds up and if it makes some funky noises haha

Screenshot_20210512-195528_Gallery.jpg 20210512_182435.jpgfinally got them installed. They are really loud im guessing my frame to body mount is just bend so bad that they can't lay flat. I'm going to have to look at it again when I have time lol

That’s probably just from not being on a flat surface and then lift just part of the cab

I did mine today and had something close to this to deal with. First, I installed with the thinner bushing on top despite what has been recommended. the passenger side went straight in, and it was the passenger side that when lifting with the jack, i felt uncomfortable with the amount of pressure on the body piece. Anyway, for the driver side, i ran the bolt thru, then the sleeve, bottom, then the washer and nut. Just a few threads at first, then start tightening down. I was using a pry bar to push on the bottom of the bolt where there is no thread while tightening and eventually it “popped” into place. Then torqued to 34 lbft.
