Ask BGR about it. He's on like his third set of balljoints for those things. But then he does live in New Yawk and they have nothing but salt on the roads like 75% of the year.

on a first gen, its the same regardless. not really any different to install. also, if u read the instructions correctly, setting them up for an alignment is easy. in fact, when i had mine, i didnt get an alignment for 2 years (was in germany and finding a place was impossible) and when i got back to the states and got one. it was dead nuts on. only thing they changed was the toe because i fucked around with the tie rod in and had to replace it.

On 1st gens you still have to press either the slug or ball joint in. Unlike on the 2nd gen.

I don't think they'll cause you any problems. VA is nice to them motor vehicles.

The LR balljoints will be more durable to the elements if you live/drive in an area with road salt in the winter. Here in Utah, guys running uniballs need to rebuild them almost every year because of the hell the uniballs go through in the winter.

the LR's might be a bit more set up at the beginning but will probably be less headache in the long run.

I guess regardless of what uca's i went with, i still needed to press the balljoints out. That is what sucked. Stuff did not line up correctly. Plus we forgot to take the snap ring out on one side.
