    Not true. I can engine brake just fine in an auto ;). If you wheel in "D", your doing it wrong.

    Yes 1st gear lo in an auto is not as slow as a manual...but the difference really is not that big of a deal to make me want to put up with a manual the rest of the time. So you tap the breaks a bit more going down a long hill...big deal

    Hell I do that with just my stock t case a lot.

    Just use washers... in your case put 1 or 2 on the furthest forward bottom bolt, in between the frame and the bumper…. if I'm remembering correctly there should be mounting bolt on the bottom of the frame

    Going to try this but think I need to get new body mounts put in. 125k on the stock ones, I'm sure they've settled quite a bit.

    Thats a good thought but that would just raise the cab a 1/4" or so making your gap larger than it is now. It will help where it looks like its hitting your grille, but it will make your gap near the fender flares bigger

    I'll have to look at it again. The major issue I'm having is the bumper nose is tilted down because of the grill so the "crossmember" is tilted out around 5 degrees from the frame end caps. I can't get the frame end cap bolts installed and I would like to install them in prep for a winch.

    I always seem to get weird issues like this when I do major mods.

    I'm considering going winchless or selling the bumper for an ARB. Don't know if I'd have the same problem though.

    Maybe your best bet is when you go to put a winch on, just enlarge all the mounting holes on the bumper with a step bit that way you can adjust the bumper the way you need too
