Poor Idle after alternator install.

    2005 Toyota Tacoma 2.7 liter. Poor idle after alternator was installed. I have read that the idle will reset after driving for awhile. I have also read that the throttle body needs to be cleaned.How difficult is it to clean the throttle body, and can I do it without removing it from the truck?
