Millage has gone down and I noticed idle is not as smooth. Changed air filter, but no change. 267,000 miles and no leaks. Runs fine, just eating more fuel.

Maybe time for a tune up? When's the last time you had the spark plugs changed out?

Is it just one tank of fuel? Maybe you got some bad gas. But I agree this seems likely.

    This.

Check tire pressure and try a bottle or two of lucas fuel additive. Didn't expect it but it helped tremendously after 2 bottles.

OP, how many miles are on your truck? Maybe look into replacing the fuel filter, they're cheap and easy to do yourself.

yup total bullshit is how you form a successful company and gain the praise of many certified techs. If you don't think seafoam works than I guess you have never seen a real before and after picture of the top of a cylinder taken with a borescope.

To each their own my $.02 is to try it out and if it doesn't solve your problem you only spent 7 bucks and you have less buildup inside your cylinders.

To answer your question op it is a fuel additive you can find at any auto parts store or walmart. If you google it you can find tons of information and videos of it being used hope this helps:thumbsup:

it's bullshit to a large degree

    I have borescopes and experience

and sucking distilled water in just like seafoam does the exact same
thing to shatter carbon off the head, [except clean the intake leading up to the cylinder]

what really works though, is opening up engine and doing it right.

whatever... though ...it's all tune-up in a can, that is what I am calling bullshit.

Its not some say all end all. Im simply saying that it works knocking the carbon off of the head including the intake. With what op described he could have some build up issues that this could help with. He should still inspect his plugs.
