@4xdog thanks for the info! I will be disassembling to some extent to put a camera in after it's painted. We'll see what that entails lol

I have same problem. I used Plasti dip. I’d rather go with a different company or something better. Anyone know if there is something better? Is there a way to get a 3rd gen OEM to work on it?

I've found cerakote trim restore works well. So does 303. Mine works just fine.

Correct. SEM Trim Black 39143. The gloss level on that paint is perfect for the Pop & Lock. The SEM rattlecans are the nicest spray paints I've ever used.

Any recommendations on a specific solvent wipe?

My last comment on here was 5 years ago but I never found a product that worked permanently. I hit mine with spray on bedliner about 2 year ago and mine has been perfect and worry free since.

Mine still worked for a couple years. However, I had enough of the fading and have since switched back to the OEM handle. I have a hard cover that locks with the pipe anti theft added to the tailgate. If someone wants in, they’re gonna get in, regardless of a locking handle.

Nothing special. Something that will remove grease and oils but not so strong as to risk any attack to the plastic.

I probably used isopropyl alcohol as that’s usually my first go-to for that kind of thing. One might also use mineral spirits with enough drying time to make sure the surface isn’t wet before painting.
