Nice I did mine a few months ago. I also ran power from the bed to a battery distribution. Since I had to run the pop n lock to the cab. I noticed that there is an autolock after a few minutes.

I noticed via YouTube some kits run to the driver's side but not all. ...was thinking of using today's discount at autoparts.toyota to buy the Toyota version. Can someone verify which side (passenger or driver) the kit from Toyota routes?
    Nice job, btw! :)
    Thanks in advance!

Go to the YouTube for Pop and Lock install with. Chloe. My understanding is this is what Toyota puts in.

How does that work? I am not real savvy on this stuff.

I have the Toyota lock and it runs to the passenger side. The advantage of this side is that the tailgate locks and unlocks only when all doors are activated so tailgate doesn't unlock when you just use drivers door.

My Toyota tail gate lock is NOT a Pop-n-lock - there was some speculation originally. Toyota goes to the passenger side.

I wanted to add: the grommet that you remove under the seat to run the wire up into the cab of the truck would not actually install properly after you put the wire through. For obvious reasons. I took a leather punch and found the size of the cord that was running through for the wires and I just punched a hole in the middle of the Gromit. It fit nice and snug. Not perfect, but still seals that grommet hole up very nicely.
