    I only used rubber washers on the skid connections. I used thin nylon washers on my bumper connections.

    Update on the skid noise problem. The upward bracing posts of my RCI engine skid were scraping the frame front where they abut. So I placed some wide, thin rubber washers on top of the posts, used my floor jack to lift the plate into place, thereby holding the washers atop thScreenshot_20250521_100912_DuckDuckGo.jpg e posts, then tightened down with thin rubber washers between steel.
