Well I guessed it! The power lock wouldn't release and the tailgate wouldn't open. Solinoid clicked, felt like it disengaged BUT it didn't. Worked it w key and it opened .Greased the lock when I got home checked wiring all A- ok. Pop & lock sending me a new solenoid. Will keep you giyd posted.Personally I think the lever is too small and on a hot or real cold day she sticks. What do you THINK?

If this happened to me I'd ask P & L for a refund. Maybe I'd get it; maybe I wouldn't.

Either way, I'd remove the P & L and throw it in the trash. I read nothing but complaints on this forum about P & L.

For the price of a flat washer and a couple of #20 hose clamps you can get as much protection as a P & L is going to offer.

There's a very long thread on the tech chat forum(if not there-somewhere else) that discusses tailgate security. Quite awhile back a guy who installs P & L said he could get one off in a blink. My guess is there are thieves who can as well.

Whatever forum of security you choose, you're only buying parking lot protection. Thieves want to grab and run. Vehicles left in high theft areas overnight will not be secure as the thief will have a lot more time to get the tailgate off.

Your right Lester. Have the clamp locks, pop &lock and incorporated the tailgate into the alarm system. BUT IF THEY WANT IT BAD ENOUGH...
