Had a pop n lock installed about a month ago. Worked great until recently. Will not remotely lock. I can lock the tailgate with key, and remotely unlock, but it will not remotely lock. Anyone else run into this issue? Installer has already ordered a new one and is going to install at no cost other than the inconvenience of bringing my truck back in.

    Sounds like a wiring issue

I know there are two wires that control it and if they are reversed it will work reverse of how it should, maybe the wire that sends the signal to lock is not making contact somewhere. but I could be totally wrong here

I just ordered the kit... drives me nuts having to fish out the key every time I want to get into the bed. I'm betting it's a loose connection or did you grease everything?

Where the wires were crimped under the kick panel would be my guess if no other routing issue under truck. That was my sore point when I installed mine. Bad angle to get a good, clean crimp. Got them crimped but if not pressed just right I'm sure could give a false or short term connection.

Did the pop and lock first then installed my G4...lot of work but the end result is awesome! Would highly recommend getting the metal camera mount kit. The oem plastic one is easy to crack and mine did with light pressure. Superglue kept it together until the metal one arrived. Quick to replace and life is good again!
