We have a 2018 keystone Passport Ultra lite 2400BH. We love it and usually have all 4 of us when we go camping. We rented a Winnebago 1700BH before we bought this one and it was cramped with 3 of us (2 adults and a 11 y/o. There was a world of difference buying the 2400BH for room in it. It has double size bunk beds a full size queen in its own bedroom with doors and a dinette that’s makes into a bed. Bathroom with tub, toilet and sink. A nice sized fridge inside and a cube fridge in the outdoor kitchen. Range inside and out with a oven inside. TV inside with a mount to put another outside. It takes me about 10 min or less to get it leveled and connected up. The slide out makes a world of difference in them. It weighs 4810 lbs dry and the taco handles it well with a WDH. We’re not heavy packers so we’re still a good ways from the tow rating of the truck. I got interested in this one when I met a fellow 3rd gen taco owner the first time when we rented the Winnebago and he had one of these. The slide out adds about 500 lbs to it but the room it gives you is worth the extra weight. I get about 8-9 mpg towing but I’m also lifted with sliders and a plate bumper. I may get a full size next time but we’re also planning on a 5th wheel for the next one anyway and no way in hell the taco will tow it. I’ve got at least 4000 miles towing it and never had any issues with it. Love the tandem wheels for stability and weight carrying. Anyway here’s the layout and pic of it behind the taco. Another local taco owner went with me to pick it up and was impressed at how well the taco tows it.

Yes, after the Myrtle Veach trip we went to East Harbor state park in Ohio (Port Clinton), and the 1000 islands. Plus a few local trips. I still wish for more torque but I just deal with it, I have yet to find a hill I couldn’t take at 65. I wanted a manual truck and my only other choice was the ancient Frontier. We have a trip to Florida planned this year and our annual trip to the 1000 islands.

That's about the exact size I'm going for if we decide on travel trailer.

    Nice setup thx for sharing

popup campers aren’t for everyone, it is a process to own and operate.

myself, I have a specific process I follow once we get to site, leveling isn’t bad at all if you’re prepared for it. Set up usually takes about 45min from leveling.
everyone has a job and that’s what they do, as long as everyone works together. It’s part of the fun.

One thing I see a lot of folks do it try and pack way to much crap in and on the camper, many not realizing most campers are near capacity on tires and axle as they sit. (Mine was 500lbs from tire capacity without camping stuff when purchased new)
But then there are the TVs, grills, bikes, fishing gear, lawn furniture, pink flamingos......

I’ve had more issues with power tripping rangers than I’ve ever had with set up/tear down

I loved my a frame but after pulling it from Nashville to Colorado Springs I decided on this, and it’s amazing.

It is crazy to think I went from this to that in 5 years. I guess it means I am getting either old or spoiled lol

I have a freind of mine offering me a hell of a deal on a 2014 forest river wolf pack 19wp .
But he says its 6000 lbs wet....little less than 5000 dry. I don't think that's a comfortable tow...on the fence big time.

About 3800 lbs wet and 3000 ish dry.

Taxa Mantis.. It’s more of a camping style than a luxury mobile .. I have three kids also we try to fit in here. We have the ability to pull the arb awning to make a room.

Does your Rockwood have a toilet?
What do you carry on the cargo rack?
    What's your tongue weight?

Any opinions on the Jayco Baja style pop up?
Looking for something with room for a small dual sport bike, inside toilet, inside or outside shower.
We want to be off grid for a week.
Zero interest in campgrounds with hook ups.
    Just 2 of us.

I looked at one of those hard. I liked the floorplan and really liked how it was equipped. Ultimately I went to the Forest River dealer instead for two very minor reasons: a) the Baja 10 foot box with the utility tray was about 3-6 inches too long to fit in my garage, and b) the dealer who had it was an ass that thought anything that wasn't an Airstream wasn't worth his commission.

Like most production campers it's going to take some minor modding to make it off-grid ready, but its super easy to do. The only challenge with a trailer of that type is that if you convert it to dual batteries, I personally would relocate them as far back as possible. Running a bike with a bunch of weight already on the tongue, you are going to be close to that 650 pound limit.
