I'll compare an IPF 100 watt bulb in a Hella enclosure with the "100 watt" Baja when I get home.

35% up front, 20% in the back window tint, 15" Mickey Thompson bullet hole wheels, with 31x10.5 Firestone Destination A/T tires. Glass Pack, High Flow Cat, S&B CAI, Custom Light Bar with 4 fog lights. 2 10" Rockford Fosgate P2 subs with 1000 watt Rockford Fosgate Amp, CB.
I plan on trying a test and pictars later

Well....the "100 watt" in the 7" Off Road lights the Baja ones are not 100 watt. After I pulled the bulbs and looked at them it says 55 watt. So they are not 100 watt.

Just got home and checked mine, they are 55 watt. I have contacted the company. I'll relay the response.

They weren't aware and are looking into it. I'm sure we're not the only people that got the wrong bulbs.
Also the instructions(yea, I glanced at them) say that anything over a 55 watt bulb will damage them.

    Will damage them?

I didn't wire them according to the instructions.

It also said that the lights didn't come with a relay...and in the picture it shows a relay and I received a relay. But I didn't use any of the wiring that came with the lights. I just used the existing wires and switch I already had in the truck from the previous lights.

Nice, the flat bar looks good.

I too used my existing wires.

I like to get what is advertised, that's what I paid for. A relay and wiring doesn't make up for the fact that we got bulbs that were half the wattage that we paid for. This companies supplier might be undercutting them and they may not know it. I know I was undercut and it looks like Andrew is going to take care of me, you too if you want.

1.) The bulbs we received are 55 watt, 100 watt bulbs were advertised
2.) What guarantee do we have that the lights won't be damaged by 100 or 130 watt bulbs.
These are the concerns I brought up to Andrew at automatcentral.com

Yeah I'm liking the flat bar pretty good. Seems a bit more "flimsy" if you hit a hole or bump in the road I notice just a slight movement in the lights, nothing major, but it's not near as stout as the conduit bar was. But it's nothing to worry about, it works good and thats all I care about. :)

And sounds good, if you want tell him that we've been talking about it and that if he does fix something up for you that I would like to be included as well. I'm happy with them but you are right, when you pay for 100 watt bulbs that's what you expect.

You could try a piece of Angle Iron, one with even a small lip on it will stiffen it up. What guage are you using?

    :notsure:

I'll tell you how it is made. It's just scraps that I had found laying around the house. The flat steel bar was a scrap piece of metal that happened to be the perfect length. I think it is 1/4" think. Holding it from the frame is 2 pieces of treated wood, almost like laminate. It is very strong and has held up good for 2 years. The think about it being flimsy is from the bar being longer than the last one so closer to the outer corners there isn't much support. I don't think it is as much the bar being flimsy but the outer lights needing more bolts to help hold it in place.

Maybe he'll get to it soon. You going to bring it back up to him?
