Had a rock penetrate the factory tire on a paved road not even 80 miles on the truck. A strange feeling to have to crawl under it and change to a spare on a brand new truck.

This means Toyo Mt are getting put on it soon as the next weekend comes around.

Overall with the time I spent with the little tacoma I love it. It is everything I wanted in a toyota... Other than these Hankook tires... What trash.

Your spare won't have a sensor.

But I think that's been posted before. I'll try and link.

The hankooks make great highway tires, but that's about it.

Mine were getting shredded from beach driving (e.g. shells/gravel), replaced them with 265/75 grabber x3's.

Tires are cheap consumables compared to a $35k vehicle.

Plus, they're a personal choice. Nobody likes factory tires, and if they changed them, nobody would still like factory tires.

Sell 'em and upgrade to your taste.

Sounds like a great excuse to buy some duratracs or grapplers with a nice set of shiny new wheels.

If it makes you feel any better, my wife picked up a TINY nail in her 2 month old Prius with 2k miles on it. The nail is too close to the side wall for repair, so a brand new tire has to be replaced...

    Which trim comes with Hankook?
People here rag on the Goodyears but they had pretty good on road manners, and decent on back gravel roads.

My last flat was a nail that was right at the sidewall too and had to replace it. A few years ago right after I bought new tires a Skunk ran in front of me and it was bad enough that I hit it but 3 of its ribs managed to go right in between the treads and put 3 holes in the tire.

I think he made a revolution or 2 before being flung off but managed to stink up my truck for about a month, I sprayed a can of Lysol in the fenderwell, that just made it smell like Skunk Scented Lysol...

Did it happen to you to? Didn't you order a truck around the same time as me? Did you get yours yet? I am not on here much.

Sounds weird but the person I was with when I picked her up I was joking around about my ugly wheels and tires and told her I was thinking about going to the tire shop before it closed to get some mt put on, pretty sure I jinxed myself to do it haha. Dash light warned me of it now it wont go away, it takes about 5 minutes to fully swap a spare that is a cool little setup under the tailgate.

What are you talking about? Who is blaming toyota? Nobody was blamed... Shit happens...

No new Truck yet, it went down the assembly line about a week ago and is expected at my Dealer at the end of the Month, my last flat tire was at the edge of the tread/sidewall and I needed a new tire, just bad luck.
