Michelins are the only tire I buy anymore...I've had 4-5 sets that have been excellent.

I've had my Pro with the Kevlar wranglers for six months. I bought all the crappy Toyota care with road hazard warranty for the tires. So far I've had to buy two new tires. One was a sidewall hit so it was not covered the other was a straight on hole in the dead center part of the tread but the dealer would not replace that either. The Toyota road hazard does not protect you from the road hazard of highway robbery from the dealer.

There is nothing quite like changing a tire in a raging windstorm at midnight all alone deep in Death Valley.

Agreed. My 2010 DCSB that I traded had LTX 2's on and I plan on the same when factory tires wear out on my new truck.

Just for fun, it's interesting that Michelin, a French company founded in 1889, also owns BFGoodrich, Kleber, Tigar, Riken, Kormoran and Uniroyal.

Michelin's inventions include the removable pneumatic tire (previously they were glued to the rim. Removable, yes. Easily, no.) the pneurail (a tire for trains made to run on rails) and the radial tire.

And the Michelin Man has a name. Bibendum.

Somehow got a small bolt in the right rear tire of my step-dad's 6 hr old 911 on a 5 minute joy ride a couple of years ago. The dealership was incredibly generous and replaced the ~$400 tire for free.

Did OP ever replace the OEMs with MTs? If so, Pics?

Toyo AT extreme. 50,000 mile treadlife warranty.
Nitto Terra Grappler G2. Same thing. 50,000.
Nitto and Toyo are the same company according to the tire shop guy I know.

All this talk about Hankook tires being junk. I'm surprised mine still hold air all the gum balls from the big Sweet Gum trees next to my parking space I run over when I leave and pull back in my spot. I keep them kicked out in the street but still drive over a bunch of them.

I have the toyo mts. I only run them during deer season. They are heavy 58lbs a piece I think. It is for sure going to hit your mpgs. I would break my truck in first if it was me before I installed them.

Yeah I didnt have a choice, mpg took a hit, not sure how much, it doesn't bother me its about to have bumpers, sliders,a winch and ray 10s, so even more weight and will get even worse mpg :D

    Are you running 265?

Toyo MTs are my favorite tires, on my last 4 diesels I ran them and they worked great, lasted forever.

People have them and they work perfect for them I am sure youll be another. Where I live the roads are rough the hankooks didnt like it haha.

Yes they are 265 75R 16. I agree with you about the quality of these tires. I used them on my 2011 tacoma and still using them on my 2016. They have good thread life, great in the mud, not much road noise, and handle great on highway.
