A few days ago my radio started making a not-too-loud static popping noise once every few minutes. I havent ever noticed it while listening to music, only dialogue or sometimes the text tone causes it. I never listen to my radio at high volume usually between 15 and 30, its the stock 2019 7” entune unit

I already have an appointment with the dealer, my concern is that I installed the pop and lock kit several weeks back and used posi-taps to splice into the driver side back door lock and im worried they will try to claim this caused too much electrical noise which somehow caused a cap in the radio to pop or some such bs, then try to charge me $5000 for a head unit because the damage was caused by my modification, ergo not covered by warranty.

has anyone else had this problem with the entune system? Debating uninstalling the positaps and hiding the wires from the pop and lock before I drop the truck off.
