What do use for a reliable, portable jump starter for your Tacoma?

With Christmas just around the corner I'm looking for something that's reliable, simple, but cost effective to jump the Taco. For those who Overland what do you take with you?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Search tons of threads on this and there also have been group buys in the past.

The noco genius is probably one of the best jump starters you can buy.

I bought a Rugged Geek RG1000 about a month ago and tossed it in my truck, this thread made me think of it so I just flipped it on and it is still at 100%.

Looking at the NOCO Genius on Amazon. Reviews look great and the price is right. I think its going on the Christmas Wishlist.

Also as a sidebar discussion, has anyone geared their TRD Sport out or used it for Overlanding Expeditions? I should've just gone with the Off Road but hindsight is 20/20.

Another enthusiastic +1 for a noco genius. The gb40 has started every vehicle I've asked it to (i believe it would do my taco, but in hoping to never find out).

This includes a 2nd gen taco, jeep, and a smaller diesel truck.

Any of these get charged by solar or even have the ability to have something charge it via USB? I would love to set something up that I could use camping to power/charge up devices and also get charged via solar and then toss into the truck for jumping needs.

I think Costco still has one as well. Good thing is, if it ever stops working, their return policy is legendary.

Ya I wasn't sure if you'd have to sign up to see it, I have a mass drop account so didn't know.. but it's worth getting an account if you don't have one you can get stuff way cheaper then buying it normal if they have what you're looking for.

Genius can charge from any solar kit with a microusb or 12v output.

I don't know squat about these things. Costco has this one for $49.99. Not sure if it's any good.

I take it you've removed the jack from your truck as well?

What do they charge to go 100 miles into the woods?
