I have a 1000A version that started a Honda Civic 4cyl engine without batting an eye at about 25-30F. Completely dead battery. For completely dead batteries you do have to put it into a special mode that disables some of the safety features meant to protect against reversed polarity. I'd expect the 2000A version you linked to would do the same on the V6. Keep in mind what you linked to is a no-brand copy of the GeniusBoost starters that sell for about the same price.

Yep, they will, as long as the truck starts fairly quickly and the booster has a full charge. I have one that I got as a Christmas gift last year, and it has come in handy many times (especially for my lawnmower). Now if you try to start a vehicle that takes a while to start, you can feel the booster get pretty warm to the touch.

I carry one in my boat. When you fish out in the bush where you don't see another boat for hours it's nice to have.

All day long. We had a full charge on one and fired up a 350 Chevy swapped XJ on a dead battery. They are VERY USEFUL.

I was ready to order the XP-10 HD lithium ion unit.

Then I read these batteries only last 2-3 years.

Then theres the risk of fire when I leave it in truck during Arizona summers.

May just lug around a group 47 12V AGM at 39 pounds, along with cables.

I have had truck batteries drop dead TWICE in last 20 yrs......due to sudden internal cell short including the OEM Tacoma battery, albeit after 6yrs.

i bought a MATCO version of the lithium jumper pack and i love it. i use it at the shop and carry one in my truck. on 1 single charge i jumped 15 vehicles, and almost all of them were work vans and v8 SUV's. still had 40% left. i paid $300 for mine, but they make one thats almost 100% identical, i believe it called Micro xp. it comes in a case with every laptop, phone charger you will need. it fits perfectly behind the seat pocket.
