Trying to decide between Hitachi 18v Lithium combo kit or Porter Cable 18v Lithium combo kit. Any suggestions? Average around the house use, nothing regular, no jobsite torture on the tools.
Any suggestions...build quality, battery life, feel in hand, power, etc.
    Thanks.

I've never used either, but Porter Cable is now made by DeWalt so I'm guessing that Its a pretty good quality. Personally I would go with the Makita Lithium stuff. Its slightly more pricey, but right now the drill and impact combo are on sale at Home Depot though i would wait till black friday to get them because thats when I got mine and I got a great deal.

between the two...go with Porter Cable. black & decker (Dewalt) is a decent brand. you might also want to look at Ryobi...decent tools at a good price.

dont go to lowes go to home depot and get makita or milwaukee. f hitachi, black and decker, and porter cable. The hitachi and porter cable are a step above walmart black and decker but below dewault. Dewault makes good tools but they are over priced and behind on technology. Get a homeowners makita set and they will Trump hitachi and porter cable sets from lowes. More power better battery life faster charge time, more reliable, great feel, led light, not as light as others but because its quality, still really light though. I got one of these kitsfree when buying my suzuki dirtbike and gave to my nephew and he left it outside beat the hell out of it. i took it back from him and it still works like a charm
