    As I said before, Porter was rescued from an Amish puppy mill; I’m guessing there’s an unpleasant memory from early in his puppyhood that he associates with a bell, and that’s why he was scared of the toy before I removed the bell...

    Yeah, something new that he’s not used to. Introduce it slowly and show it won’t hurt him and at some point he’ll get used to it.

    Luckily I was working at a detail shop at the time and we got it out good as new!
